ELA online doctoral program ranked among the best in the country

The Educational Leadership and Administration program at NMSU has been named one of the best online doctor of education programs by the Princeton Review.

Rene Guillaume, associate professor of educational leadership and administration, says the program owes its success to the mission and structure of the program.

“The educational leaders enrolled in our doctoral programs want to grow as transformational leaders committed to creating socially just educational communities. As former practitioners whose values align with the mission of the program, the faculty are able to form positive and meaningful relationships with the students in the program,” he says.

Professor of Educational Leadership and Administration Azadeh Osanloo also credits the unique personalization of the program.

“Our leadership program is designed to meet the needs of doctoral students across the southwest who live and work along the U.S.-Mexico border,” Osanloo says. “Our retention and completion rates are consistently high and that is in large part due to the student-centered and dedicated faculty.”
