School of Social Work students, professors attend conference

Students and faculty from the NMSU School of Social Work attended the National Association of Social Workers annual conference in Albuquerque in March 2022. More than 2,000 social workers and students attended.

The National Association of Social Workers is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, working to enhance the professional growth and development of its members and to advance sound social policies. At the conference, faculty showcased the large impact of NMSU’s research, outreach and collaborative efforts. Students were able to connect and network with social work students from other universities.

“Students’ sessions at the conference allowed students to explore diverse avenues for applying their education and degrees,” says Milica Tenic, School of Social Work academic adviser, who attended the conference. “This was a great experience for students to grow as professionals and social workers.”
